5 Saints to Be Canonized in May-June

VATICAN CITY, FEB. 23, 2007 (Zenit.org).- In the months of May and June, Benedict XVI will canonize five saints.

During the public ordinary consistory held today in the Vatican, the Pope established that he will canonize Blessed Antonio de Santa Ana on May 11 in Brazil.

The canonization will coincide with his pastoral journey to Brazil to open the 5th General Conference of the Latin American Episcopate.

Blesseds George Preca, Szymon de Lipnica, Carlos de San Andrés and Mother Marie Eugénie of Jesus, will be canonized in Rome on June 3.
