"Adopt-a-Father" Program Seeks Sponsors

Under the program, a sponsor can support a father for 50,000 lire (about $25) a week — an average weekly wage in many Third World locales.

A sponsor who decides to adopt a father for 10 consecutive weeks could also receive a report from a missionary on the work that the “adopted dad” is doing.
