The Holy See announced Thursday that Pope Francis confirmed Cardinal Stanislaw Rylko as president of the Pontifical Council for the Laity, and Bishop Josef Clemens as secretary.
He also named Philadelphia’s archbishop, Charles Chaput, to the council.
