Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle, Archbishop of Manila, is expected to address the 8th General Assembly of the Family Rosary Crusade (FRC) in Manila this Saturday. The annual event is expected to attract hundreds of participants from different dioceses across the country.

Cardinal Tagle, who formally took possession of his titular church in Rome last Sunday, will deliver the keynote address to the assembly.

Organizers of the FRC assembly said that Family Rosary International director Fr. James Phalan, CSC, is also attending the occasion to speak on the “Year of Faith, New Evangelization and Family Rosary.”

The assembly will end with a Mass to be presided by Parañaque Bishop Jesse Mercado, chair of the Catholic Bishop Conference of the Philippines´ CBCP Episcopal Commission on the Laity.

FRC continues to spread devotion to family rosary prayer through their on-the-ground groups, composed of lay volunteers that work locally in parishes throughout the country.
