Catholic-TV Event Has Web Page

MADRID, Spain, MARCH 7, 2006 ( The first World Congress of Catholic Television Stations, which will be held in Madrid next October, has a Web site:

The initiative, convoked by the Pontifical Council for Social Communications, with the help of the host archdiocese, hopes to define “what it is to be Catholic on television” and to establish “a Catholic television network that will serve as a vehicle for the evangelizing movement,” explains the page.

The Oct. 10-12 convention expects to attract professionals of Catholic television stations from all over the world. A virtual linkup will be available throughout the event.
