Pope Francis sent more than 500 kilograms of food to the Integral Medicine Association for families in need of Tor Bella Monaca. He sent tomatoes, boxed vegetables, cheese, cereals and marmalade through the Papal Almoner, Archbishop Konrad Krajewski. The distribution of food parcels will take place on Saturday, March 21, 2015 from 9:00 am at the headquarters of the Integral Medicine Association on Via Aspertini, 520.

“It was a real surprise when we received the phone call announcing the arrival of food for the poorest families of the neighborhood. The Pope didn’t forget us and 10 days after his visit to Tor Bella Monaca, he wished to give a sign of his closeness to those who are in difficulty,” explained Lucia Ercoli, Director of the Integral Medicine Association.

“I’m not a theologian, but with these gestures of mercy, ideally, the Pope has given an anticipation of the extraordinary Holy Year and I thank him from my heart for having given hope to so many who live in suffering and marginalization,” added Ercoli.
