Family Is Theme for World Peace Day

VATICAN CITY, DEC. 5, 2007 (Zenit.org).- Benedict XVI has chosen family to be the theme for the World Day of Peace 2008.

The Vatican press office announced today that the message for the peace day will be published Dec. 11, and that it will be titled “The Human Family: Community of Peace.”

The World Day of Peace will be observed Jan. 1.

The papal document will be presented by Cardinal Renato Martino, president of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, and Bishop Giampaolo Crepaldi, secretary of the same dicastery.
