Although local sources hesitate to say how long peace will last, they say the situation in Libya’s capitol of Tripoli is quite calm.

However, the government of Prime Minister Abdullah al-Thinni, recognized by the international community, has told his troops to conquer Tripoli, reported Fides.

To this end, on March 21, the aircraft of the air force in Tobruk hit some military facilities on the outskirts of the Libyan capital.

The UN Special Envoy for Libya, Bernardino Leon, who is mediating in Morocco between the different Libyan components in view of the formation of a national unity government, has strongly criticized the attacks.

In fact, the international community is pushing for a rapid agreement between the two governments in Libya, in order to face the threat represented by the affiliated Libyan Islamic State.

This IS sect has conquered Sirte, the hometown of the late dictator Muammar Gaddafi.
