John Paul II Receives President of Slovak Parliament

VATICAN CITY, MARCH 31, 2003 (Zenit.org).- John Paul II received in audience the president of the Slovak Parliament, Pavol Hrusovsky.

The audience was Saturday. The previous evening, Hrusovsky attended the presentation, in the Pontifical Oriental Institute, of the book entitled “Bilateral Juridical International Relations Between the Holy See and States: Experience and Prospects.”

The book includes the minutes of the meeting held on this matter in Rome, on Dec. 12-13, 2001, organized by the Slovak Embassy to the Vatican.

Among those who attended the meeting were Cardinal Jozef Tomko, prefect emeritus of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, and Archbishop Jean-Louis Tauran, Vatican secretary for relations with states.
