The dioceses of San Salvador, Sonsonate and Zacatecoluca have placed 85 evangelizers at the service of the communities that they usually catechize.

The evangelizers, who are constantly on catechetical missions in remote areas, can gather data that is useful for relief efforts. They also help to collect and distribute aid in these areas.

The program of full-time evangelizers is based on the assistance of local businessmen, who created the Center of Formation in the Faith, and pay catechists a salary. The evangelizers´ works is decisive in a country like El Salvador, which has few priests and lots of remote villages.
