The ordinary affirmed this in the official newsletter of the Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham, in which he spoke of his April 1 private audience with the Holy Father.
Monsignor Newton said the Pontiff was “keen to hear about the clergy and faithful joining this year, and of our hopes and plans for the future.”
The former Anglican said he was “able to express our sincere appreciation for the generous provisions made in ‘Anglicanorum Coetibus’ and for the warmth of welcome we have received from the Church.”
Dates for many of the ordinations of deacons and priests of the ordinariate have been set, and will run through May and June. There are seven ceremonies scheduled to ordain deacons in May, and the ordinations of priests in Westminster will happen June 10.
