The Verbum Dei Missionary Fraternity (VDMS) has convoked the first international symposium of its Married Couples and Family Missionary Branch, from July 19 to Aug. 2.
“The Family, Good News for the Third Millennium” is the motto of the meeting here, which will focus on the mission, at home and abroad, of married couples and families.
Father Jaime Bonet, founder of the VDMS, and Isabel María Fornari, its president, will be among the attendees.
Founded in 1963 in Spain, the VDMS is an institution of consecrated life of the Catholic Church. Its mission is to proclaim the Word of God and propagate the Kingdom of God through prayer, the ministry of the Word, and the witness of evangelical life.
The VDMS has three branches: consecrated women missionaries, missionary priests, and consecrated laymen and missionary married couples. It is active in 31 countries.
