The German section of the international Catholic charity Aid to the Church in Need hopes to rekindle enthusiasm for the sacrament by means of a van outfitted as a “mobile confessional.”
The van will be presented, blessed and sent out during the charity’s international congress March 5-7 in Augsburg.
Aid to the Church in Need’s confessional on wheels will be used during events such as World Youth Day 2005 in Cologne.
It will also offer people the chance to speak to a priest and to get spiritual counseling during its journey throughout the country, said Klaus Wundlechner, director of the charity’s German branch.
