Pope Francis’ prayer intentions this month focus on learning the value of silence.

The Apostleship of Prayer announced the intentions chosen by the Pope for September.

His general intention is “that people today, often overwhelmed by noise, may rediscover the value of silence and listen to the voice of God and their brothers and sisters.”

For his mission intention, the Holy Father is praying for persecuted Christians: “that Christians suffering persecution in many parts of the world may by their witness be prophets of Christ’s love.”
