According to a communique issued today by the Vatican press office, Pope Francis presided at a meeting of the heads of the dicasteries of the Roman Curia this morning.

The meeting focused on the dicastery leaders’ reflections on the apostolic exhortation Evangelii Gaudium. It also focused on reactions within dicasteries and perspectives on implementation.

Evangelii Gaudium (‘The Joy of the Gospel’) was the apostolic exhortation written by Pope Francis in 2013. The document discusses a Christian’s obligations to the poor and economic, social, and political inequality.

The meeting had concluded by midday. (D.C.L.)
