Father Georg Ratzinger, 81, came from Regensburg, Germany, for last Sunday’s solemn inauguration of the pontificate of his brother, and has stayed in former residence of the new Pope at No. 1 Piazza della Città Leonina. He might soon be returning to Bavaria.

The Holy Father, who is not yet living in the papal apartments, met with some of his collaborators this morning in a study next to Paul VI Hall.

The Vatican press office reported that the Pope met in separate audiences with Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re, prefect of the Congregation for Bishops; Cardinal Alfonso López Trujillo, president of the Pontifical Council for the Family; and Archbishop Angelo Amato, secretary of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.

The Pontiff should be moving to the papal apartments on Saturday. At midday Sunday, he is expected to appear at the window of the Apostolic Palace to lead the Regina Caeli prayer.
