Pope to Climate Change Meeting: Let ‘Integral Ecology’ Guide You

Take Into Account the True Good of the Human Person

Cardinal Secretary of State Pietro Parolin has sent a message on behalf of Pope Francis to the Second World Peoples’ Conference on Climate Change and the Defence of Life, which is concluding today in Tiquipaya, Cochabamba, Bolivia.

He encouraged the participants in the four-day meeting to be guided in their reflections by the principles of a just and integral ecology, and thus take into account the true good of the person.

The cardinal says:

“Pope Francis affectionately greets the organizers and participants of the Second World Peoples’ Conference on Climate Change and the Defence of Life held in Tiquipaya, Cochabamba, and he encourages them in their reflections and work to be ever guided by the principles of a just integral ecology, which takes into account the true good of the human person.”
