Pope to Lead Consistory for 3 Canonization Causes

VATICAN CITY, FEB. 15, 2011 (Zenit.org).- Benedict XVI will preside over an ordinary public consistory regarding the cause of canonization of three blesseds.

The Vatican press office announced that the consistory will take place Monday in the Vatican Apostolic Palace.

The consistory will be held for Blessed Guido Maria Conforti, Blessed Luigi Guanella, and Blessed Bonifacia Rodríguez de Castro.

Blessed Guido Maria Conforti (1865-1931) was as Italian archbishop and founder of the Pious Society of St. Francis Xavier for Foreign Missions.

Blessed Luigi Guanella (1842-1915) was an Italian priest and founder of the Congregation of the Servants of Charity and of the Institute of the Daughters of Our Lady of Providence.

Blessed Bonifacia Rodríguez de Castro (1837-1905) was the Spanish founder of the Congregation of the Missionary Sisters, Servants of St. Joseph.
