The book, translated into English by John H. Miller, C.S.C., is entitled “The Demographic Crash: From Fatalism to Hope.”

It addresses questions such as: Why do women increasingly have fewer children? Why is the rate of population growth decreasing? Why is the population aging?

According to the editors, the study “goes beyond the mere analysis of the decrease in demographic growth,” dedicating two chapters on population-control activities.

The author warns that systematic action is needed to head off the totalitarian methods that are used to promote population control. The last three chapters offer suggestions for individual or group action.

The book may be obtained from the Central Bureau, CCVA, 3835 Westminster Place, St. Louis, Missouri 63108, or by e-mail: centbur@juno.com.
