Tulsa Native to Be Ordained Bishop by Pope Francis

Monsignor Peter Bryan Wells, apostolic nuncio in South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho and Namibia, will be ordained a bishop by Pope Francis on March. 19.
The Office for Liturgical Celebrations of the Supreme Pontiff announced Monday that at 10 a.m. on Saturday, solemnity of St. Joseph, the Holy Father will confer episcopal ordination on Monsignor Wells and also on Msgr. Miguel Angel Ayuso Guixot, M.C.C.J., secretary of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue.
Monsignor Wells is of the clergy of the Diocese of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on 12 May in Tulsa ordained a priest on 12 July 1991, and appointed titular archbishop of Marcianopolis on 9 February 2016.
Monsignor Ayuso is a priest of the Institute of the Combonian Missionaries of the Heart of Jesus. He was born on 17 June 1952 in Seville, Spain, ordained a priest on 20 September 1980 and appointed titular bishop of Luperciania on 29 January 2016.
