Women’s Role in Church to Be Topic of Videoconference

VATICAN CITY, OCT. 17, 2002 (Zenit.org).- The role of women in the Church will be the theme of an Oct. 29 videoconference organized by the Vatican’s Congregation for the Clergy.

These conferences are a regular monthly feature held in live link with 10 institutions in cities around the world: Rome, Madrid, Moscow, New York, Taipei, Bogota, Manila, Sydney, Johannesburg and Munich.

Topics scheduled for the conference this month include “Women in Holy Scripture,” “Women in the Church” and “Women and the Family.”

The conference may be followed live or recorded on the Web page of the Congregation for the Clergy (www.clerus.org).

The texts of the cardinals, bishops and theologians who will address the conference, may be followed, eventually, in the same site.
