Archbishop Luis Bambarén of Chimbote revealed that two months ago police found three hidden microphones in his car, two in the front seats and one in the back where he travels.

«I live in peace with microphones and telephone taps,» the archbishop told the press. «It doesn´t worry me, as I´m not hiding anything. I don´t care.»

He added: «It must be the saddest job in the world, to be spying on others´ lives.»

While abroad, President Alberto Fujimori was forced to resign from office, after a network of corruption organized by Montesinos was discovered. Peruvian authorities believe Montesinos might be in Venezuela.
