VATICAN CITY, JULY 24, 2001 (Zenit.org).- A story Monday on the Pope´s meeting with the U.S. President George Bush incorrectly said that the United States was the only country not to accept the Kyoto protocol on industrial emissions. More precisely, the United States stayed out of a compromise agreement on the protocol, at a U.N. convention in Germany. ZENIT regrets any misunderstanding.
