This is the latest initiative announced by the German Catholic Web site Kath.net. On Dec. 24, Kath.net will offer a «Christmas chat» from 10 a.m. until 2 a.m. the next day, in which priests and lay Catholics will be available to dialogue via the Web.

The promoters plan to provide a meeting point for people who will be alone, giving them the possibility to talk about the meaning of this feast, as well as to discuss matters of life and faith. Participants may remain anonymous.
