Sitting on a plane with the trident in hand, bin Laden rises from the flames to challenge Christ.

On one side, a devil raises a missile and a plane under the gaze of a figure dressed like an Arab.

«I work in the ‘Descent into Hell,'» said the church’s painter, Ion Badila. «When I saw the television pictures of the attacks on the United States, presented as an Apocalypse, I thought to myself that bin Laden represents the most pure incarnation of evil.»
