The 2nd American Missionary Congress (CAM 2) and the 7th Latin American Missionary Congress (COMLA 7) which will take place here from Nov. 20-30, 2003.

These meetings, whose motto is «Church in America, Your Life Is Mission,» have been described by the Pope as a moment of grace for the continent.

The meetings were inspired and promoted by the Pontifical Missionary Works, and organized jointly with the bishops’ conferences of the local Churches where they are held.

The object of COMLA, which came into being in Mexico in 1977, is to foster deeper understanding of the missionary responsibility of the Church in America.

More information on the congress is at www.cam2guatemala.org.
