That, at least, is how counseling is seen by the Teresianum, the faculty of theology and spirituality directed by the Discalced Carmelites in Rome.

To meet the demand for counseling, the Teresianum has designed a course entitled «Spiritual Counseling From a Catholic Perspective,» which begins this October and will continue until December 2006. Classes will be held on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons.

Would-be counselors will follow courses that combine theology, spirituality and psychology with a method that tries to help individuals and communities listen to, and accept inspirations of, the Holy Spirit.

More information is available through segreteria@teresianum.org.
