New Rome Notes Columnist

ROME, DEC. 11, 2008 (Zenit.org).- Edward Pentin debuts today in ZENIT as a new Rome Notes columnist.

Pentin’s column will appear every other Thursday. Elizabeth Lev will continue to write Rome Notes on the alternate weeks.

A native of Canterbury, England, Pentin has covered Rome and the Vatican for more than six years.

After graduating in international relations at the University of Keele in England, he taught in a mission school in southern Tanzania run by the Benedictine Sankt Ottilien Congregation. This was followed by a two-year stint working as a housefather and teacher at an international school in Switzerland.

He has a master’s degree in Justice, Peace and Mission studies, and a diploma in journalism from the London School of Journalism.
