Archbishop Fulton Sheen was a brilliant preacher that was inspired by the Holy Spirit. With audiences ranging in the neighbourhood of 30 million for his weekly television program Life is Worth Living and winning an Emmy Award over the top Hollywood actors and singers of that era hosting their own programs speaks for itself considering that he was a Catholic Archbishop. That in itself was a miracle. Would a Catholic Archbishop hosting a program on network television ever win an Emmy Award again? A better question would a Catholic Archbishop even be given a program on network television today? That will never be done again nor will we ever see the likes of Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen. The world’s preacher had such love of God and neighbour that he wanted all to be saints and to go to heaven. The World’s Preacher has a very high place in heaven. May Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen pray for all of us that we get to heaven as well singing Oh when the Saints come marching in.
