[At the World Cup], the English supporters are “flying their flag.” What is this flag? A red cross.

Although at a different angle, the Scottish and traditional Welsh flag [the Flag of St. David] also have crosses. How then can this country say the cross is irrelevant to our history?

Many other countries around the world have the cross on their flag somewhere. Is the European Union going to abolish them?

We must retrieve our old courage and raise the cross again. It is by this sign alone that we shall conquer.
