“Make the most important decisions by seeking the truth, the common good and peace. Be open and sensitive to the needs of your brothers,” said Pope Francis to the Poles: “Listen with love and attention to the indications of your Queen!”
Pope Francis evoked the feast of Mary, “Queen of Poland,” and Poles’ national feast by greeting those who were present at the General Audience on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 in St. Peter’s Square.
The Pope expressed himself in Italian, translated immediately by one of his collaborators of the Roman Curia.
“I greet the Poles warmly. Today is the solemnity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of Poland, and your national holiday. Listen with love and attention to the indications of your Queen, whom you address saying: “You are the great honor of our nation.” In your daily choices, follow the ways of agreement and mutual goodwill.”
“Make the most important decisions by seeking the truth, the common good and peace. Be open and sensitive to the needs of your brothers. I bless from my heart your homeland, you who are present here, your compatriots in Poland and in the world.”
“Long live Poland!”
