This Lent, feel encouraged to return to the Father and offer your sufferings and lives for others.
This was at the heart of Pope Francis’ Lenten advice to young people, the sick, and newlyweds during his Feb. 14, 2018, General Audience in a cloudy, rainy St. Peter’s Square.
Saying he had something special to convey to the young people, the sick and newlyweds, the Holy Father gave the following recommendations for the Lenten journey that began today, with Ash Wednesday.
“Dear young people, I hope you will live this time of grace as a return to the Love of the Father, who waits for all with open arms.”
“Dear sick, I encourage you to offer your sufferings for the conversion of those that live far from the faith.”
“And dear newlyweds, I invite you to build your new family on the rock of the love of God.”
