Pope Francis offered a special greeting to the faithful of Rome on June 29, 2018, the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul, patron saints of the city. His remarks came after praying the noonday Angelus with a crowd of some 30,000 pilgrims gathered in St. Peter’s Square.
“My greeting today is especially for you, faithful of Rome, on the feast of the patron saints of the city! For this anniversary, the “Pro Loco” in Rome promoted the traditional Infiorata [flower display], which I see from here, made by different artists, associations, and volunteers. Thank you for this beautiful initiative and for the striking floral decorations! I wish all a good feast.”
