The course on the Social Doctrine of the Church (SDC), organized by the Centesiums Annus –Pro Pontifice Foundation, offers formative courses geared to Integral Human Development and to Solidarity, to public and private directors, professionals, academics, businessmen, scientific and technological workers with particular attention to young talent. The foundation announced the schedule on December 12, 2018.
The course starts on Saturday, February 9 in Rome and finishes on May 12, 2019.
The method proposed has three levels of learning. The first, of an academic nature, is made of contents <and> texts of the Magisterium, knowledge of articles and volumes for further reflection. The second is focused on the experiential level, in which each one can personalize the content through laboratories, group sharing, the elaboration of brief documents at the end of every meeting and a final thesis. The third will be sapiential, in which, through the more spiritual part imprinted in the SDC, each participant in the course will be able to discern and act on the change of his behaviors.  A particular focus will be made on the last text of the SDC, to be able to dialogue with the world on the subjects of justice, the environment, and the common good.  The objective is to build a thinking community, through a true and proper communal experience that can also cut into the public area.
The courses will be conducted by qualified University docents, exponents of the world of the economy and business and priests working in pastoral care. There will also be testimonies on the part of adherents of the Foundation who will speak about their experience of study and application of the SDC in daily and professional life.
The residential meetings will be held at the Instituto Maria SS. Bambina (Via Paolo VI, 21, Rome) with the following schedule: Saturday from 10 am to 5:30 pm and Sunday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. The remaining four modules will be online.
The cost for taking part in the entire annual course is €600.00; the amount may be paid in two installments.
