(ZENIT News / Washington, D.C., 01.12.2022).- From December 5-11, American diplomat Wendy Ruth Sherman, who is serving as the United States Deputy Secretary of State since April 2021, will travel to the United Kingdom, Italy, Vatican City, France, Germany and the Czech Republic to continue strengthening bilateral relations, enhancing the United States support of Ukraine, coordinating America’s response to the unprovoked War of the Russian Federation, and discussing strategies in the Indo-Pacific.
After visiting London, the U.S. Deputy Secretary of State will travel to Rome, where she will meet with top Italian officials. Later, in the Vatican, she will talk about shared priorities with the Holy See’s Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin. Her trip will then take her to Paris and finally to Prague.
