Bishop Bullock turned 75 last year, the age at which he was required to submit his resignation.
Robert Morlino was born Dec. 31, 1946, in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Among his degrees, he received a doctorate in moral theology at the Gregorian University in Rome in 1990.
Ordained in June 1974 for the Society of Jesus, he was incardinated into the Diocese of Kalamazoo, Michigan, in October 1983.
He was appointed professor of moral theology at Sacred Heart Seminary in Detroit in 1990 and was named rector of St. Augustine Cathedral in 1991. He was named bishop of Helena in July 1999.
