Pope Francis on November 4, 2018, expressed his sorrow at the November 2, 2018, attack on a bus in Egypt carrying Coptic Christians. The attacked killed seven and injured many more.  It occurred at the same location where an attack in 2017 killed 28.
“I express my sorrow over the terrorist attack two days ago, which struck the Coptic Orthodox Church in Egypt,” Francis said. “I pray for the victims, pilgrims killed for the sole fact of being Christians, and I ask Mary Most Holy to console the families and the whole community. Let us pray together to Our Lady: Hail Mary . . .”
