God gave us the Holy Spirit, so we can live as His children and enjoying His fatherly love.
Pope Francis stressed this to Arabic-speaking Christians, especially those from Lebanon, Jordan and the Middle East present in St. Peter’s Square, during today’s General Audience of Wednesday, June 20, 2018.
In his remarks, the Pope said: “God gave us the Holy Spirit so we can live as His children, and we see in His Words and in His Commandments, not rules and prohibitions that makes us slaves, but His fatherly love, that gives us life, liberty and illuminates our walk”
Pope Francis concluded, saying: “May the Lord bless you all and protect you from evil!”
