“Never again! Never again…”

“In front of this appalling tragedy, indifference is inadmissible, and remembrance, is a duty.”

Pope Francis made this appeal during his Angelus address today, Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020, recalling that tomorrow marks the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenhau concentration camp.
“Tomorrow, marks the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenhau, symbol of the Shoah,” he recalled.
“In front of this appalling tragedy, indifference is inadmissible, and remembrance, is a duty.”
“Tomorrow, we are all invited to make a moment of prayer and of recollection, each one saying in their own heart: ‘Never again…. never again….'”

The Holy Father then invited everyone in St. Peter’s Square and following the Angelus to join him in praying for this. As usual, Pope Francis concluded reminding those present to pray for him and wishing them all a good Sunday and lunch.
