Christian TV in Trinidad and Tobago Goes 24-Hour

The expansion is made possible by a grant from Aid to the Church in Need, which is seeking to answer Benedict XVI's call to support evangelization through the media.

The grant of $9,000 (£5,560) provides Living Water with new equipment, since they had been working with only one set and were therefore unable to expand programming.

Trinity TV has been broadcasting for 17 years; for two years it has provided 24-hour coverage on the Internet.

Archbishop Edward Gilbert of Port-of-Spain, the capital, fully supports the apostolate.

Trinidad and Tobago has some 1.2 million people professing a variety of religious beliefs.

Slightly more than a quarter of the population is Catholic, and some 22% are Hindu.
