The archdiocese announced that the retreats will be held in the Maracanazinho stadium, which can hold 25,000 people.

The retreats are free and, according to the organizers, open to all people seeking moments of prayer, reflection, joy and fraternity. They will begin this coming Saturday, and end next Tuesday, with a Mass presided over by Rio´s archbishop, Cardinal Eugenio Araujo de Sales.

Entitled, «River of Living Water,» the theme of the retreats is «The New Pentecost.» Dozens of priests will be on hand at the retreats for the sacrament of reconciliation.
