Bush Might Visit John Paul II in July

VATICAN CITY, JUNE 6, 2001 (Zenit.org).- U.S. President George W. Bush might visit John Paul II in the Vatican, when the American leader travels to Italy for the G-8 summit in Genoa next month.

The summit is set for July 18-21. In 1994, when the G-8 summit was held in Naples, the then U.S. president, Bill Clinton, traveled to Rome and was received in audience by the Pope.
