Every year, this event is held in a different European city. The motto of the upcoming meeting is «New Stage of Pilgrimage of Confidence Across the World.»

The event will also serve to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Taizé ecumenical community, founded in France by Brother Roger. The community embraces Christians of various denominations.

The Budapest meeting is the 24th youth event of its kind. The program includes joint prayers at midday and at night in large pavilions in the city center. There will also be workshops and gatherings of young men and young women with witnesses of the faith.

The young people will be housed by families and parishes in the Hungarian capital.
