The Pontiff will first land in Krakow, where he was once archbishop, and then go to Lagiewniki, where he will consecrate the Shrine of Divine Providence, the Vatican announced Tuesday.
In addition, he will visit Kalwaria Zebrzydwoska, a spiritual center of pilgrimages about 35 kilometers (21 miles) from Krakow.
The Vatican said it will soon publish a detailed program of the Pope’s ninth visit to his native land.
