The initiative will also serve to prepare for the day of prayer and fasting for peace, called by John Paul II for Ash Wednesday, March 5.
The World Rosary, held last Oct. 5 for the seventh consecutive year, involved parishes, apostolic movements, communities and families worldwide. It was a program started by Mexican lay Catholics.
