Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Easily Passes U.S. House

If the bill, approved 282-139, withstands legal challenges, it would be the first time a specific form of abortion has been criminalized since the 1973 Supreme Court Roe vs. Wade ruling.

Bush applauded House passage of the ban and urged Congress to quickly resolve differences with a Senate-passed version so he can sign it into law, Reuters reported.
