The new 358-page book includes the basic content of every paragraph of the entire Catechism — in fewer words.
Each paragraph retains the original number for easy reference. Many footnotes that quote sources such as saints, councils and Scripture are put into the main text. A simplified Subject Index is also included. Cardinal Justin Rigali of Philadelphia has written the Foreword.
Monsignor Vincent Walsh, who produced the simplified work, also produced a simplified version of Karol Wojtyla’s «Love and Responsibility» and the Pope’s encyclical «Ecclesia de Eucharistia.»
