The document, entitled «Rapid Development,» will be presented by Archbishop John Foley, president of the Pontifical Council for Social Communications, the Vatican press office announced today.

With an eye toward the Second Vatican Council’s 1963 decree on the media, «Inter Mirifica,» the pontifical council has convoked communications experts, as well as bishops, priests and religious, to participate in a symposium on «The Church and the Media: An Unlimited Future.»

Speakers at the Feb. 24-26 symposium will include Archbishop Wilton Gregory of Atlanta, who will address the topic «What Does the Church Expect from the Media?»
