Pope Francis sent a message to the several priests of the Archdiocese of Seoul, South Korea who were celebrating the 25th anniversary of their priestly ordination.

The message was sent through the Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, to Archbishop Andrew Yeom Soo jung of Seoul. The Archdiocese commemorated the anniversary by celebrating mass at the Cathedral Church on Monday.

In his message, Cardinal Bertone stated that the Holy Father sent his greetings to the “Jubilarians, their families and friends, and to all who join them on this occasion.”

“Assuring them of his prayers, His Holiness encourages the Jubilarians to grow daily in ever greater joy and generosity in service to Christ and his Church and to see in this celebration an occasion to renew and deepen their priestly commitments,” the message stated.

Concluding his statement, the Vatican Secretary of State informed the Jubilarians that Pope Francis commended all celebrating the anniversary to the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Korean Martyrs.
