Ralph Everard Gonsalves, Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, visited the Vatican Apostolic Palace to meet Pope Francis this morning.
According to a communique by the Holy See Press Office, the Holy Father and Prime Minister Gonsalves discussed several topics of common interest, including the defense of life, education and interreligious dialogue.
“Mention was made of various issues regarding the countries in the area and collaboration within the ambit of regional organizations,” the communique stated.
Shortly after the meeting, the Prime Minister met with Archbishop Pietro Parolin, Vatican Secretary of State, who was accompanied by Archbishop Dominique Mamberti, secretary for Relations with States.
